According to Rocky Mountains National Park map and travel guide, the park connects by three highways, U.S. Highway 34, U.S. Highway 36 and State Highway 7. These highways have made it very easy to access the park by road. Highway 7 takes just half mile to enter the park from Lily Lake side. However Highway 36 enters the park from eastern side but it emerges in Highway 34 after few miles. Highway 34 gives access to the park from eastern side at 12183 feet height. In winter this highway is closed by heavy snows.

Rocky Mountains National Park was established on 26 January 1915, during the presidency tenure, President Woodrow Wilson. Initially the park area was small but for the time being it has been expanded and recently the total area of the park is 265,761 acres.

  • Western side of continental divide contains different wild animals like elk, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, black bears, moose and mule deer.

Weather condition of the Rocky Mountains National Park varies season to season. In July and August warmest climate up to 70’s to 80’s is found in the park. Thunderstorms mostly appear in the afternoon. Gradually warm temperature starts to down in September and in Mid-October snow falling starts which to end in April. Mid-October to April heavy snow falling covers the Rocky Mountains by Snow-white fold and temperature comes down in minus. In May Snow-white fold starts to melt. Now the temperature increases up to 10-20 degree. In July weather enters in re-cycle described above.
